Fine speaker grille... hardly noticeable |
The Panasonic TH42PX70 unveils a hidden speaker design, with its fine grille rolling off the lower black bezel. The speaker does a fine job for your bread-and-butter news and regular programmes, but for more adventurous sound, you will probably turn to a high wattage separate home theatre system.
It has two modes, speech and music, together with the usual bass, treble and balance controls for tonal adjustment. I prefer the [Surround] option on all the time for a more expansive sound stage and speech clarity. I also nudged the bass up for a little more volume at the lower frequencies.
