Pioneer PDP508XD Review

Pioneer PDP508XD

Although the first Pioneer Kuro 8G plasma I tested – the PDP4280XD – won our inaugural "Reference Level" rating, there remained a couple of niggles that made me wonder if they could be ironed out on its higher spec siblings. In particular, I was intrigued by the fabled hidden ISF C3 feature available on the XD versions which might rectify the skewed low-end gamma tracking I found on the PDP4280XD. So when authorised Pioneer specialist dealer TLC Broadcast volunteered to send me a sample of the Pioneer PDP508XD, it was simply an offer too good to refuse.
