HDTVTest.co.uk is a wholly owned website of High Def Consulting Ltd (Company No. 06215384), launched in February 2007 to publish original and comprehensive reviews of the latest HDTVs in UK and Europe.
As avid home theatre enthusiasts, founders Vincent Teoh and Colin Tang are frequently frustrated by the lack of indepth reviews of HDTVs either in magazines or on websites. After a debacle last Christmas when Vincent had to return his HDTV 3 times to an unnamed manufacturer due to issues with "banding", they decided enough was enough – consumers deserved to be presented with accurate information on their potential big-ticket purchase before parting with their money.
HDTVTest.co.uk is designed to provide independent unbiased reviews of the latest HDTV models available to the consumers in the UK and Europe. A wide range of tests are conducted in a measurable and repeatable fashion using different source materials, with particular emphasis on post-calibration side-by-side comparison with other competing models where possible.
All reviews are enriched by multimedia technologies in the form of photographs, animations and videos to give readers immersive experience and truthful representation of the HDTVs. A forum has also been set up for readers to posts questions and contribute to each review.
Due to the quality of the reviews and loyal support from readers, within 4 months HDTVtest.co.uk has become among the 3,000 most visited website in the United Kingdom. It is hoped that with future support from consumers and manufacturers alike HDTVtest will be the number one portal for information on HDTVs.
