Panasonic TH42PX70 Stock Level

By Vincent Teoh • Wednesday, 14 March 2007, 6:51 pm BST

Did some phoning around today to source the newly-released Panasonic Viera plasma television for review, so might as well post what I found here. The major upgrade as far as I can see over the discontinued model (PX60) is the ability to accept 1080p signal… even though native resolution of the panel remains the same at 1024 x 768.

would be great if you could get one of these. I was tempted to just slap my cash down now but wasnt sure if it was just a tweaked version of the old one (fine)or first in a new range of budget products (not so fine)

Stock-wise these are leaking into the shops as of last week, I am looking to buy one for myself, and in the sheffield area, these are in-stock to buy now from audiovision and crampton & moore.

Also mrmdvd.com have stock. Apparently John Lewis now have them at their distribution centre and will be sent to stores soon.

They are on display in the local Panasonic store in Croydon. The advisor also allowed me to browse the instore only catalogue. Advises that the PX700 series will be out in April and also the PZ700 series; true 1080pwill be out the same time. The all black look looks superb. shall await a reveiw of the latter before making a purchase.
