Hot on the heels of its successful sponsorship of the Euro 2021 tournament that saw Hisense enjoy a massive boost in TV sales, the company has announced its full range of 2021 models are now on sale in the U.K.

The Chinese TV maker has a selection of impressive-looking models for viewers to feast their eyes upon, including its first ever Mini-LED TV and what will be only its second OLED display to launch in this country.

The 75-inch Hisense U9G ULED Mini-LED TV (pictured, above) is the company’s flagship model for 2021, fitted with a fancy 4K Ultra Motion 120Hz panel with Ultra Viewing Angle technology for clear wide-angled viewing and Android TV.

Thanks to its Mini-LED display, which is made up of thousands of miniaturised LED pixels, the Hisense U9G boasts Full Array Local Dimming Pro technology that gives it much more precise control over image brightness, which the company said can hit a peak of 3,000 nits. The U9G is capable of reproducing over a billion colours too. Hence, users will be treated to much more lifelike images on screen with richer detail and greater subtlety in hues, shades and tones, the company insisted.

Also onboard is support for the premium HDR formats, Dolby Vision and HDR10+, as well as HDR10 and HLG. On the sound side there’s Dolby Vision IQ, which relies on a built-in sensor to dynamically adjust the TV picture to compensate for the ambient lighting conditions. The TV is IMAX Enhanced-certified too, and boasts a 3.2.1 channel audio system that’s built-in.

Video games fans will be happy to know the Hisense U9G ULED Mini-LED TV takes advantage of the new capabilities of the next-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. It comes with HDMI 2.1 ports and offers a dedicated “Game Mode Pro” that enables 4K at 120 frames per second, Auto Low Latency Mode and Variable Refresh Rate. Game Mode Pro can also switch off MEMC and other PQ adjustments too, enabling lower latency, reduced halo effects and minimal motion blur, the company said.

The TV’s overall performance is no doubt enhanced by Hisense’s AI Picture Optimization tech, which works by capturing each individual frame, identifying the contents, be they a human face, a landscape, food or whatever, and then optimising the picture on screen.

Also going on sale today is Hisense’s latest OLED offering, the 4K Hisense A9G (below) that’s available in a choice of 55-inches and 65-inches. Although it doesn’t quite match the U9G in terms of brightness, the Android-powered OLED display combines with HDR to offer “stunning contrast” and “richer details” than are possible with traditional LCD technology.

Hisense has a full range of options to suit every budget. One step below those two premium models is the Hisense 4K U8G, which is a high-spec QLED TV with quantum dots. Again, buyers can choose from a 55-inch or a 65-inch screen. It boasts many of the same capabilities as the flagship U9G, including the same colour scope and advanced gaming features, but it maxes out at 1,000 nits brightness and only has Full Array Local Dimming, rather than the “Pro” version.

Moving onto the midrange, and Hisense’s A7GQ and E7GQ models feature 60Hz panels but look like solid competitors with 4K quantum dot LCD display, support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Android TV and a much wider selection of screen sizes.

Hisense has a couple of offerings in the entry-level range too, including the 4K Hisense A4G, which is a standard QLED TV with DTS:Virtual:X surround sound that runs the VIDAA U5 Smart OS. Last but not least is the 4K Hisense A6G (below), which for unexplained reasons sits below the A4G and is available in a choice of sizes, from 43-inches all the way up to 75-inches at the high end. Like the A4G, it also runs the VIDAA U5 OS and features a 60Hz panel.
