LG Electronics is partnering with Microsoft’s Xbox team to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 5 racing game.

The company has created what it says is a unique “Dream Gaming Setup” with its OLED TVs that will enable fans to experience virtual racing “like never before” – and it’s inviting the winners of a prize lucky draw to attend. 

Forza Horizon 5 is one of the most eagerly anticipated Xbox titles of the year. It’s the latest installment of the popular Forza motor racing game series, designed to showcase the very best capabilities of Microsoft’s most advanced, next-generation games console with "unparalleled load-times, visuals and responsiveness" in 4K at a blazing 120 frames per second. 

Slated to launch on November 9, the game promises to be the most realistic motor racing simulation ever made, and LG says it launch event will take that experience to the next level thanks to the advanced capabilities of its latest OLED TVs.

The Dream Game Setup event will take place over two days at a secret location in Surrey, South East England on November 6 and 7, and fans of the game are invited to enter a prize draw to win the chance to attend. 

LG Electronics has promised to feature a number of “immersive challenges powered by LG OLED” that showcase a variety of cars, driving modes and environments available in Forza Horizon 5. Some of the challenges include track sleds designed to help gamers hone their driving skills, a Drift Lab that offers tutorials to help players master the art of drifting, and more besides. The event is designed to help games perfect their skills in order to compete at the very top of the Forza Horizon 5 leaderboard, with prizes available for those drivers who can register the fastest times. 

Gamers will get to immerse themselves in a “custom-built driving pod” that’s equipped with LG OLED displays and 4D environmental elements such as wild fans, surround sound and even artificial smells of the track to enhance the realism. 

Alex Yeo, Head of TV at LG Electronics, explained that the company wanted to create something truly special for fans.

“Microsoft has spent years developing this incredible game and LG OLED lets people unlock its full potential and experience it in all its vivid 4K glory,” Yeo said. “The Dream Gaming Setup is something out of this world and invites gamers to experience the virtual track like never before – we urge fans to enter the ballot as this unique experience is for two days only!”

LG’s latest OLED TVs boast a number of next-generation gaming features that promise to enable the most fluid and realistic graphics ever seen, with a 120Hz 4K panel, Dolby Vision, FreeSync variable refresh rate and G-SYNC compatibility.
