Sony Corp. has said its 2023 Bravia TVs are now available to pre-order in the UK, with the prices and launch dates for most of its top models now confirmed. 

The flagship model for this year’s Bravia range is undoubtedly the Sony A95L QD-OLED TV, but it’s also one that will be the last to become available, with the company quoting a release date of “End Summer ‘23”. For now then, Sony fans will have to make do with the A80L OLED TV (pictured), which may also be listed as the A83L or A84L. Although it lacks the QD-OLED panel of its sibling, it still comes with many of the same excellent capabilities, including the new Cognitive Processor XR and Acoustic Surface Audio+ features. 

Sony said the A80L will go on sale on April 21, at least for the 55-inch and 65-inch models, with the 75-inch and 83-inch variants set to ship on May 12 and May 19, respectively. The TV is priced at £2,399, £2,999, £4,499, and £5,499 respectively, which seems to make it more affordable than last year’s flagship A95K QD-OLED TV (priced at £2,699 and £3,499, respectively, for the 55-inch and 65-inch models). 

We also have details of Sony’s extensive lineup of LED TVs, with the flagship here being the X95L MiniLED TV that has many of the same features found in the Sony A95L, with a few alterations to accommodate the new XR Backlight Master Drive. Sony said it will be available in 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch sizes, with prices set at £2,799, £3,699, and £4,899 respectively. The 75-inch model will launch on May 12, with the other two arriving just over a month later, on June 17. The prices are notably lower than the launch price of last year’s equivalent model, the X95K, reduced by £200, £300, and £500 for the above sizes. 

Second in Sony’s LED lineup is the X90L Full Array LED TV, which will be available in 55-inches for £1,599, 65-inches for £1,899, 75-inches for £2,699, 85-inches for £3,499, all the way up to 98-inches for a whopping £8,999. The smallest two sets will launch on May 19, with the 75-inch model set to arrive on June 2, and the largest two models to hit the stores on July 11. The Sony X90L’s prices represent a small increase on the launch price of last year’s equivalent X90K, with the 98-inch version being an entirely new size. 

The company also announced the X85L LED TV, with 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes, priced at £1,399, £1,599, and £2,299 each, and the X80L, with a single, 85-inch model set to cost £2,499. Those models are all slated for May or June launches, and the X80L will also be available in 43-inch to 75-inch variations, though there’s no news on prices yet. Last but not least is the Sony X75WL, which is the most affordable TV in this year’s lineup, with prices starting at £699 for the 43-inch model, with 50-, 55-, 65- and 75-inch models also available, at £899, £1,199, and £1,499 respectively. Those models will all ship in June, Sony said. 

Early birds are being enticed with a number of incentives if they acquire through Sony's official store. For instance, the Sony A80L OLED TV can be had alongside a free HT-A3000 soundbar that’s worth £499 by those who pre-order before April 18. The company is also offering up to £200 off of various other soundbars with many of its other TV models.
