China’s Hisense is celebrating its 50th birthday today and it’s spreading the love with some sweeping discounts across its range of electrical products.
The company, which started out making simple radio sets back in 1969, long before it became the electronics giant it is today, is offering “extra special prices” on a select number of products for exactly fifty hours – one hour for each year its been in existence.
The discounted products include an assortment of ovens, fridge freezers, dishwashers and washing machines, but being a TV website it’s the televisions that excite us the most, and Hisense has quite a selection on offer.
Hisense is offering no less than four heavily discounted TVs to its U.K. customers. The pick of the bunch is undoubtedly this neat-looking 55-inch Hisense O8B OLED model, available to order exclusively from Hisense’s website for the next 50 hours, priced at just £899.
The 4K Hisense O8B is the company’s current flagship OLED TV, sporting a super-slim design and support for Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound. It runs Hisense’s new VIDAA U operating system, enabling easy access to apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Freeview Play and Rakuten TV, among others.
But if OLED isn’t your thing or you simply need something cheaper, there’s a nice looking selection of LCD models on offer that can be had for as little as £349.
For that price you’ll need to content yourself with the 55-inch Hisense B7500, which is also 4K and supports Dolby Vision HDR, but alas, no Dolby Atomos. Those who’re willing to stretch their budgets a little more can take a look at the 55-inch Hisense U8B model, which carries many of the same specs as the B7500 but throws in features such as local dimming, Dolby Atmos and an extra HDMI 2.0 port. The Hisense U8B TV will set you back £499 if purchased in the next 50 hours.
Last but not least, the Hisense 65U9A is the company’s premium ULED TV. It’s bigger than the other models at 65-inches and so it naturally comes with a bigger price tag, but for just £999 it’s still an absolute bargain. ULED is for Hisense what QLED is for Samsung – it’s an LCD TV with a proprietary LED backlight technology that also uses quantum dots to produce deeper blacks on a level that approaches that of OLED. It’s the company’s flagship ULED model with 700 individually controlled dimming zones that help to increase colour realism and image accuracy. Supported HDR formats include HDR 10 and HLG, while the VIDAA U OS provides access to apps such as Netflix and Freeview Play out of the box.
“We always look to offer the biggest and best specs across TV, white goods and cooking for the most accessible price points possible, so it’s only fitting we’re marking our 50th anniversary celebrations with these incredible, unmissable prices,” said Hisense UK’s senior marketing manager Arun Bhatoye.
Hisense said the discounts, available exclusively from www.hisense.co.uk, will begin at 7pm on Friday, October 25th and run for exactly 50 hours, with the offer ending at 9pm on Sunday.
