TV maker Hisense has said that it’s adding the Paramount+ streaming service to its VIDAA smart TVs in the United Kingdom. It’s a key “app-grade” that will provide Hisense TV owners with access to more premium entertainment. It’s rolling out now to all Hisense TVs that run VIDAA U6 and above, meaning all of its 2021 and 2022 models, plus this year’s lineup.

The company said U.K.-based viewers will now be able to access Paramount’s vast library of entertainment content, covering a broad spectrum of exclusive international titles. They include Paramount+ originals such as The Family Stallone, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Special Ops: Lioness, it said in an announcement today.

Besides its original TV shows, Paramount+ also has access to numerous popular movies and TV shows created by other content creators, as well as some of the U.K.s most prestigious sporting events. For instance, it has broadcast rights to this year’s Emirates FA Cup.

The Paramount+ app means the service is seamlessly integrated with Hisense TVs. The VIDAA operating system provides a simple and enjoyable way to navigate through Paramount+’s content, Hisense said.

Arun Bhatoye, head of marketing at Hisense UK, said he is excited to see Paramount+ launch on numerous Hisense TV models. “Access to the streaming service will enable our customers to enjoy even more great entertainment at the touch of a button,” Bhatoye said. “We’re always committed to improving our offering and this is a highly anticipated addition.”

VIDAA International CEO Guy Edri also chirped in, saying he was excited to onboard Paramount+ to its U.K. audiences to help fulfil the company’s mission to offer the most diverse selection of high quality content. “We are proud to offer them Paramount+’s amazing lineup of originals, movies and live sports,” he explained.
