TP Vision, the company behind the Philips brand in Europe, has announced that it will launch its 2022 TV range at a special “hybrid” event that will take place in Berlin and online between August 31 and September 5.

The event will welcome journalists in person as well as online to see Philips unveil its new TVs as well as its sound products, and discuss its design innovations and progress on sustainability.

TP Vision has been one of the pioneers of online events since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, having successfully staged online launches of its TV products over the previous two years via a series of four livestreamed events that received huge international audiences.

Given the success of those events, the company said it is aiming to keep the livestreaming element for its future product launches, in addition to renewed physical gatherings.

Philips fans have quite a lot to look forward too as the company has already teased its forthcoming 2022 TV products, which will include its flagship Philips OLED907 and OLED937 ranges. The new TVs were recently announced as winners of the 2022 Red Dot design awards. The Philips OLED937 (pictured, below) reportedly comes with an improved Bowers & Wilkins sound system that includes up-firing and side-firing Dolby Atmos drivers, plus four-sided Ambilight. It will be paired with a classy leather remote and come with a luxurious fabric speaker cover. To date, TP Vision has confirmed the OLED937 will be available in 77-inches, and we expect smaller options will also be available.

As for the Philips OLED907, it also features an integrated Bowers & Wilkins sound system that’s wrapped in a luxurious fabric cover and features an embedded subwoofer in the back cover. The elegant remote is wrapped in leather on the sides and rear surface, while the TV itself has a centre-aligned aluminium swivel stand. The OLED907 will reportedly be available in a choice of 48-, 55- and 65-inch sizes

TP Vision is also planning to launch a Philips OLED807 TV this year. This will be a more affordable model featuring LG Display’s next-generation 'OLED EX' technology that’s said to increase the panel’s overall brightness. It also boasts a four-side Ambilight mood lighting system and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The TVs are expected to be unveiled on August 31, when TP Vision CEO Kostas Vouzas will stage a press conference. Later in the event, there will be dozens of special guest speakers to reveal more details about TP Vision’s partnerships and projects.

The press conference will be followed with various live and online workshops on TV and Sound topics.
