Bang & Olufsen has announced a new high-end soundbar in the shape of the Beosound Premiere, and it’s extraordinarily capable, with 10 custom drivers each driven by their own independent amplifier. As can be seen from the photos, it’s also one of the most beautiful soundbars money can buy.
The Danish company says the Beosound Premiere is a “three-dimensional sculpture” that’s designed to “mirror the three-dimensional sound” it generates. It comes in a precision-machined aluminium casing that’s embedded with 90 LEDs to create an “ethereal glow” effect that’s likely to look especially impressive in dimmed living rooms.
According to Bang & Olufsen, the Beosound Premiere is made from pure aluminium and will be sold in a choice of natural, gold tone or black anthracite finishes. For those after something even more stylish, there’s also an extremely limited “Haute Edition” that features a “precision-milled pattern” that takes more than 17 hours to complete. Given the intricate detail, not surprisingly there will only be 25 Haute Edition units sold globally.
Of course, being a soundbar, the Beosound Premiere is not just about aesthetics. It’s the company’s first model to feature its new proprietary Wide Stage Technology – a new spatial audio processing system that uses advanced signal processing to create the effect of having external speakers placed all around the room. The result is an “expanded soundstage” that goes beyond the soundbar’s physical form.
In the centre of the soundbar is a kind of circle that’s actually an up-firing tweeter that’s designed to “capture the eye like a jewel” and indeed, it has a very striking visual impact. Less visible are the 1,925 precision-machined perforations on the up-firing driver – which indicate the year Bang & Olufsen was first founded.
As always, Bang & Olufsen has designed the soundbar to be used as part of a wider sound system. It’s compatible with various external speakers made by the company and can be part of a full 7.1.4-channel surround sound system that supports Dolby Atmos.

The company is planning a staggered launch with several variations of the Beosound Premiere set to be released. It’s kicking off with the limited Haute Edition, which will set you back a staggering £11,000, and will follow with the standard Natural Aluminium model in December, which can be pre-ordered now at a price of £3,900. There’s also going to be a Gold Tone version that will launch in February 2026, followed by the Black Anthracite model in March. Those will likely cost a little more, but the company has not yet announced pricing.
Buyers can also add optional fabric and wooden covers, which will increase the cost further. The Grey Melange fabric cover will cost an additional £250, while the Oak and Dark Oak wooden covers will add a further £1,000 to the price tag.
Expensive, for sure, but the Beosound Premiere is meant to be a luxury product offering both substance and style as part of the ultimate home theatre setup.
