LG's 2026 OLED TVs finally start appearing in retail stores

LG Electronics’ 2026 OLED TVs are finally making their way into physical retail stores across the U.S., U.K. and Europe, having seen their appearance this year delayed by several months.

FlatpanelsHD reports that LG’s G6, C6 and B6 OLED televisions are now widely available across all three regions, more than three months after the company began accepting pre-orders from early birds.

This year’s flagship model is the LG OLED evo G6, which succeeds last year’s popular and highly rated G5 model. In the U.K., it’s priced at a very reasonable £1,699 for the smallest 48-inch version, with the price rising to £15,999 for those eying the mammoth 97-inch model. The most popular size every year is always the 65-inch version, which is plenty big enough for most U.K. living rooms, and it comes with a competitive £2,999 price tag.

One rung below the LG G6 OLED TV is the LG C6, and there’s not that much to choose between the two this year, at least not if you opt for one of the larger variants. It used to be that LG reserved its most advanced OLED panel technology exclusively for the G-series, but this year, the 77-inch and 83-inch versions of the C6 will come with the same premium Tandem OLED panel found in the flagship model. In the U.S., the larger two C6 versions are actually known as the LG C6H, but in Europe and the U.K., there is no difference in the model names, though the smaller sizes are equipped with an older OLED EX panel.

The LG G6 also gets a more advanced three-layer reflection-free premium coating that absorbs up to 99.5% of light glare, whereas the C6 only gets LG’s standard anti-reflective coating. In addition, the G6 is designed to be wall mounted with its uniform-thickness “gallery design,” which differs from the C6, which has a bulkier component enclosure at the bottom of the TV. LG says the G6 also gets a more powerful audio system than the C6.

Slower than usual rollout

HDTVTest’s Vincent Teoh published his delayed review of the LG G6 last month, and made it clear that it’s definitely one of the best TVs money can buy this year, especially since LG rolled out a critical firmware update that fixed certain issues with HDR content that affected early, unreleased models. In particular, he said it’s probably the best-performing OLED TV for bright room viewing this year, thanks to the enhanced anti-reflective coating, though he also believes Samsung’s S95H OLED TV boasts superior near-black handling and less off-axis colour tinting.

LG’s TVs are hitting the shops much later than normal this year, but it’s not the only TV brand to move slower than usual, with the blame almost universally pinned on the war in Iran and the resulting higher fuel prices affecting distribution.

Both the G6 and C6 TVs come with LG’s most advanced Alpha 11 Gen3 processor, webOS 26 and four HDMI 2.1 ports. They support 4K resolution at a maximum 165Hz, with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Filmmaker Model all onboard. Another new feature, which hasn’t been seen before is Dolby Atmos FlexConnect wireless audio.

LG’s entry-level OLED model this year is the B6 series, which consists of the standard B6 and the B6E. Although not confirmed, it’s believed that the B6E model will come with an older, previous generation OLED panel, while the B6 will come with the new OLED SE panel that brings up the brightness to 1,000 nits. The B6E also omits premium processing technologies such as Precision Master Pro and Precision Sound Pro to justify its lower price.

Later this year, LG will launch a new “wallpaper” model called the LG W6, which is almost identical to the G6, except for its even slimmer design, enabled through the inclusion of a wireless connection box.
