Samsung's flagship S99H OLED TV gets a massive audio and aesthetic upgrade

Samsung has teamed up with the Danish audio company Canvas HiFi to create a premium version of its flagship, wall-mounted S99H OLED TV that comes with a superior soundbar and more refined aesthetic.

It’s called the Samsung HiFi S99H, and this special edition model is paired with one of Canvas HiFi’s high-end soundbars, tucked away inside a wooden panel. It means there’s no visible cables running from the TV to the soundbar, and you’ll get a massive boost in audio performance too.

The company is showcasing the Samsung HiFi S99H at IFA 2026, which is taking place in Berlin this week. It’s being made available in 55-, 65-, 77- and 83-inch sizes, and comes with either a wall mount or a fixed floor stand. You can also pay a little more to take home a rotating floor stand in black or aluminium. As you can see from the images, it certainly looks the part, and Samsung assures us there’s lots of sonic substance too. You’ll be able to choose from one of two soundbars, actually, with either 1,000-watts or 1,500-watts output. In case you don’t know, that means it’s going to be very loud.

Canvas HiFi said these are the world’s first audiophile soundbars, and while some of its rival audio firms will probably not agree, the soundbars are undoubtedly very powerful. However, we should note that these are stereo soundbars, rather than surround sound Dolby Atmos systems. That said, they feature Baach’s 3D sound processing technology that should help to make the experience a bit more immersive, regardless.

Samsung said the Samsung HiFi S99H TV is more than just a combination of a high-quality TV and beefy sound system. What it’s trying to do is create a new category of TV entirely, where sharp visuals, true HiFi sound and stylish aesthetics are bundled into a single “integrated solution.” It added that it’s for consumers who “do not want to choose between performance and interior design.”

What it didn’t say is that it’s also for consumers with fat wallets. It’s a premium product by anyone’s definition, for the company has slapped a $7,999 price tag on the 55-inch version, which is far in excess of the $2,500 price you’ll pay for the regular S99H TV.

IFA Berlin kicks off on September 4, and the TV is expected to go on sale the following month. If you’re interested in learning about how awesome the picture quality is, be sure to watch Vincent Teoh’s review of the standard S99H in the video below:
