If the idea of installing a mammoth 135-inch direct LED video wall in your commercial space fills you with dread, Sony has just provided the antidote. The company has just announced the Sony Crystal LED UNIFY, or ZRL-135SG, which is billed as an all-in-one dvLED display that eliminates the hassle of ultra-large screen installations.
As with Sony’s earlier Crystal LED video walls, this is a display that’s aimed firmly at commercial applications, such as corporate boardrooms, community spaces and educational facilities. But despite its impressive 135-inch size, the company says it can be slapped onto any wall by just two people in less than an hour.
Sony seems to think this is going to be a major selling point, for traditional dvLED set ups have long been seen as the gold-standard for crystal clear and bezel-free visuals on massive wall-sized displays. They provide cinema-like quality in every way, but the downside is that it takes days and a small army of technicians to get them set up, with all of the complex wiring and calibration required.
But the Crystal LED UNIFY is quite unlike other dvLEDs. It comes “almost” ready-to-deploy, in the shape of five pre-assembled display units and a single control unit that can be quickly slotted together. A team of two installers can quickly put up the wall brackets, fix the modules together and then all that’s needed is to plug it into the mains, with no specialist technical skills necessary.
Sony said the Crystal LED UNIFY delivers impressive picture quality that will stand out in even the brightest of environments. It boasts 800 cd/m2 of maximum brightness and comes with a special Anti-Reflection Surface Technology that guarantees high visibility no matter how bright the sun is shining. With a 1.5mm pixel pitch and its 135-inch canvas, native resolution maxes out at Full HD, but the display nevertheless accepts 4K inputs, relying on Sony’s expert image processing techniques to ensure crisp, smooth images no matter what.
The company said the Crystal LED UNIFY is a part of its wider Pro AV lineup, and it utilises the same user interface and remote control that’s found on its Pro Bravia models. It can also be used with Sony’s Device Management software, enabling seamless and centralised control for multi-screen conferences. In terms of aesthetics, Sony has done its best to ensure it blends into minimalist spaces, with its ultra-slim bezels and a cleverly designed front-serviceable control unit that’s tucked behind the display but can be slid out for maintenance. It ensures the viewing experience is distraction-free while keeping downtime to a minimum. Once hung on a wall, the display sits almost flush against it, protruding less than four inches from the surface.
The LED panels also have a protective coating that’s designed to protect against accidental scrapes and knocks, which should be helpful given the kind of high-traffic environments the display will be used in.
"Expanding our portfolio to include a 135-inch All-in-One model helps us meet customer demand, makes our solutions easier to spec and deploy, and serves as the perfect complement and extension to enhance our existing lineup," said Rich Ventura, VP of Professional Display Solutions at Sony.
The Sony Crystal LED UNIFY is being showcased next week at the InfoComm 2026 exhibition in Las Vegas, and will be available to buy in early 2027, the company said.
