We thought we’d seen the full extent of TCL’s 2026 TV lineup, but the company has gone and surprised us with the launch of a previously unannounced new wall-mounted SQD-Mini LED model called the TCL C10M.
TCL said that the C10M is one of the thinnest TVs it has ever made, with a uniform body that measures just 3.99 centimetres thick, enabling it to sit perfectly flush against whatever wall it’s hung on. It’s for this reason that TCL says the C10M has a “True Wallpaper” design.
It seems that the TCL C10M is the company’s answer to specialised wallpaper models such as Samsung’s S99H and LG’s W6 OLED TVs, which are also designed to be hung on walls. However, there’s a big difference in terms of display technology. Whereas those companies position OLED as their premium tech, TCL’s C10M features the company’s very own SQD or Super Quantum Dot technology. With SQD-Mini LED, TCL has optimised the screen layer and the backlight in such a way that they work in tandem, which helps to reduce colour banding and distortion. It delivers 100% coverage of BT.2020 colour space, which is essential for high-dynamic range content.
SQD-Mini LED is quite a bit different from the RBG LED technology that's being pitched by brands such as Sony and Samsung, as HDVTest's Vincent Teoh explains in this explainer:
TCL said the C10M comes with 2,304 local dimming zones, each of which can be controlled by the TV independently. This should mean that the TV displays exceptionally sharp contrast, with vivid detail visible in both the dark and light elements of any scene. There’s also a new AI light colour control chip that helps to do the necessary processing work to enable this. According to TCL, that chip is extremely powerful, with a quad-core CorteX-A73 CPU, an IMG CXM GPU and 1.0 TOPS of NPU AI computing power at 1.5 gigahertz. The TV also boasts 3 gigabytes of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. There’s a powerful audio system too, with a pair of Onkyo Hi-Fi speakers that support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound.
The TCL C10M is going on sale in China first of all, where it’s powered by the company’s proprietary LingKong System 3.0 software. The platform has an AI assistant powered by DeepSeek’s Fuxi AI model, enabling users to interact with the TV in a conversational way. In terms of connectivity, the TV has four HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and Ethernet LAN port. There’s also Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth on board, TCL said.

As for prices, it seems pretty affordable for what it is. The company said it’s asking for 12,999 RMB (around £1,423 at the current exchange rate) for the 65-inch model, 15,999 RMB (£1,752) for the 75-inch version, and 19,999 RMB (£2,190) for the largest 85-inch TV. There will also be a 98-inch model, but it's not currently listed and we don't know the asking price. It’s not clear yet if TCL intends to launch this wallpaper-style model outside of China, however.
TCL’s SQD-Mini LED lineup is led by the flagship X11L TV, which boasts a staggering 20,736 local dimming zones and 10,000 nits peak brightness, plus a more powerful Bang & Olufsen sound system.
